The abolition of ancillary costs in January 2017 deprived medical clinics from several income sources for services that are, even today, only partially refunded by the government. These legislative changes have weakened the profitability of many medical clinics and caused important restructuring for some of them.

The clinic research, services to enterprises, renting new premises for healthcare professionals and certain nursing services are services that the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) does not cover. These are just some examples of the new sectors of activity that are now available to you.
